Biology II
Biology is devoted to the study of living things and their processes. This course provides the opportunity for students to enhance scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and their understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms. Students
will explore biological science as a process, cell structure and function, genetics and heredity, evolution and classification, diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles, and animal structure and function. Students will conduct multiple studies in which they will generate hypotheses, design experiments, and collect, analyze and present data. Students will conduct individual research on current biological topics and issues and present their findings. This course also provides a laboratory component in which the students will develop necessary skills needed by professionals in the scientific field.
